osteopathy southend #01 Consultation & Treatment
During osteopathy consultation, many questions are asked about the presenting complaint. These questions will involve what
  • Type of pain you are experiencing

  • Type of onset,( ie sudden / gradual)
  • Aggravating and relieving factors,

  • Any Associated symptoms such as leg, groin or abdominal pains

  • General health

  • Diet & lifestyle are just a few.

  • If treatment is appropriate for osteopathy the next stage is the examination to confirm or deny the facts retrieved from the consultation. A diagnosis is made and treatment commences specific to the problem whether the problem is local or emerging from a distant area.

The average treatments are approx 5-6, but of course this does largely depend on the nature of the problem, type of pain, age, & physical condition.
